Review:

This quick read was inspiring, informative, and beautifully illustrated. It served as a great introduction to the many fantastic women of the marvel universe. It was great seeing my all-time favorite, Ms. Marvel, and also fantastic to learn about characters I was not familiar with, like Squirrel Girl and Mockingbird.

It would have been super cool if the book had provided some suggested comics to get a new reader started. I definitely enjoy reading graphic novels, but sometimes figuring out where to start can be overwhelming.

Readers will be able to see themselves reflected in the various super heroes that are presented, and the book does a great job of highlighting the diverse cast of female heroes in the Marvel universe. I would highly recommend this book for someone who wants to start reading graphic novels, but doesn’t know who to start with, or someone who is familiar with Marvel characters, but wants to learn more.

Overall, Fearless and Fantastic is a fun, meaningful way to learn about the awesome women of Marvel.
